HAMBURG, N.Y. – For the second consecutive year, Hilbert College's
Skyler Holzman earned a spot on the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Team this morning when the awards were announced.
Mount Aloysius College's Cassidy Cook and La Roche University's Jasey Reiser were named the Co-Offensive Player of the Year while Kiki Nemcek (La Roche) grabbed the Defensive Player Award. La Roche's Alecia D'Urso was selected as the Newcomer of the Year and Alfred State College's Caroline Kuhn earned the Coach of the Year honor.
Skyler Holzman (Lancaster, NY/Lancaster | Medaille) made the most of her two seasons at Hilbert and left a lasting impression on the women's lacrosse program. She continued to give the young Hawks positive leadership and 100% effort even when battling injuries. The 5-4 defender appeared in only nine of the Hawks game due to injury but her voice on the sideline was impactful to her teammates. She led the Hawks with 24 caused turnovers, breaking the single-season record set in 2017, and scooped 26 ground balls.
Holzman ranked 2nd in the AMCC in caused turnovers (24) and in caused turnovers per game (2.66) while finishing her collegiate career ranked 21st in Division III in caused turnovers and 161 ground balls.
Holzman is the third Hilbert women's lacrosse player to be named to the AMCC All-Conference team and she becomes the first two-time selection.
