Softball AMCC Championship Tournament Preview

BRADFORD, PA – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference 2025 Softball Tournament begins on Friday, May 10th, as the top six ranked teams advance to the double-elimination tournament located at Kessel Complex in Bradford, Pa.

The Hilbert College Hawks (7-9 in conference play, 12-17 overall) qualified for the postseason as the conference's sixth seed. The Hawks will begin play on Friday at 10 am against Pitt Greensburg, the third seed.

During regular season play, Hilbert split with the Bobcats on the road as a 4-0 Greensburg game one victory was answered by a 4-1 Hawk win.

The Bobcats (10-6, in conference play, 17-12 overall) enter the tournament winners of five of their last six conference games.

THE HAWKS
  • Finished the campaign 7-9 (12-17 overall) to qualify for second-consecutive AMCC Championship Tournament.
  • Looking to build off last year's postseason tournament that saw Hilbert win the first two playoff games in program history.
  • Scored 82 runs in the regular season, good enough for fourth in the conference. The Hawks hit .289 as a team with a .370 Slugging %
  • Pitching staff struck out 88 batters (third in AMCC) with a 1.76 WHIP and 4.50 ERA
  • Hilbert heads into the postseason with a 5-5 record against the other five qualifying teams with wins over Penn State Behrend (two), Penn State Altoona (two), and Pitt-Greensburg.
 
LEADING THE WAY
  • Emily Lacki leads the Hawks with a .415 average in conference play, which ranks eleventh in the AMCC. Lacki also leads the squad with a .468 OBP (twelfth in conference) and a .566 Slugging % (twelfth in conference).
  • Samantha Heppel and Alana Yadov lead the team in RBI with twelve and eleven respectively, while Yadov's two home runs ranked second in the conference.
  • Yadov and Kailey Stolowski carry the load in the circle for Hilbert as the duo sits in the top 15 in the AMCC in ERA (Stolowski – ninth, 3.52, Yadov – 14th, 4.79). The sophomore left-handed pitchers ranked third and fourth in the AMCC in punchouts as Yadov fanned 42 batters while Stolowski whiffed 41.
  • Yadov's four conference wins placed her fourth in the conference while Stolowski sits second in the AMCC with one save.
