HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College's Emma Gionta was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Softball Player of the Week today.

Emma Gionta (Spencerport, N.Y./Spencerport) had a pair of 3-hit games this past week to lead the Hawks to victory in her final game at Hilbert. Gionta finished the week going 8 for 11 with a pair of doubles, one walk, six runs scored and two RBIs. Her top performance came in game two against Carlow University, when she went 3-for-4, which included one double while scoring two runs in the Hawks shutout victory over the Celtics in her final career game on FSSJ Field.
