AMCC Women's Lacrosse Tournament History
- In an effort to recognize women's lacrosse in the AMCC league, the conference hosted a Showcase Tournament in 2017.
- The four AMCC institutions competing at that time, D'Youville, Franciscan, Hilbert and Medaille, sponsored women's lacrosse but Hilbert and Medaille were competing as associate members in the United East Conference, while D'Youville and Franciscan were competing as independent institutions not affiliated with any conference.
- At the conclusion of that season, Medaille advanced in the UEC Tournament which set up a three-team Showcase Tournament. Franciscan earned the first and only Showcase Tournament trophy after recording a 17-16 victory over Hilbert.
- Finally, in 2024, the AMCC league was able to create a Women's Lacrosse conference schedule with Hilbert, La Roche, Mount Aloysius and Wells competing for the title. Wells College recorded a 19-7 victory over Mount Aloysius.
- This 2025 AMCC Tournament marks only the second time the league is hosting a postseason tournament which will feature La Roche University, Mount Aloysius College, Alfred State College and Hilbert College.
Hilbert | La Roche 2025 Series
- La Roche swept the Hawks (21-6 and 17-3) and every other AMCC opponent for a clean sheet in league play.
- This marks the first time each team will face off in a postseason tournament against each other.
- Jessee Jonathan leads the Hawks with 11 goals and a team-high 10 free position shots. Olivia Horn provides strong offensive support with 10 goals this spring. Madison Matuszak powers the team with six assists.
- Skyler Holzman fuels the defensive core with a new single-season record 24 caused turnovers. Midfielder Samantha Accurso (19) and defender McKenzie Walker (16) also hustle and create problems for opponents as tough defender.
- Olivia Cleary, after only two years in goal, has established herself as a program changer. She leads the team in ground balls after saves, with a .474 save percent after facing 413 shots this spring. She is just 47 saves away from becoming the program's All-Time leader and is 23 saves away from setting a new single season record.
