HOW IT HAPPENED
- Greensburg got on the board first which forced the Hawks to play catch up the first ten minutes. But Hilbert used a 6-point run to jump on top, and after Catan drilled her second deep hit (and 8th point), the hosts rolled to a 16-6 lead heading into the second quarter.
- Just five minutes into the period, Hilbert held an 18-point advantage (26-8) with Johnson and Schlagenhauf doing much of the damage to that point. Four turnovers and afew missed shots in the lane allowed Greensburg to inch back to a 7-point game, but Catan reached from deep again with 30-seconds remaining to set the 31-21 halftime margin.
- Greensburg outscored the Hawks 19-15 in the third period yet Morgan and Schlagenhauf did most of the damage inside the arc to pace the Hawks. Schlagenhauf and Catan each reached from deep before the start of the fourth quarter stretching the margin back to six points.
- Tahlia Kosek opened the quarter with a bucket in front of her bench, Johnson scored in the lane and LaDasia Leak hit back-to-back 3-pointers setting the tone for the final three minutes of the game.
