Women's Soccer Wins Big Over Bradford

BUFFALO, N.Y. — Hilbert College Women's Soccer hosted Pitt-Bradford this afternoon in the team's final home game of the regular season. The Hawks used a fast offensive start to earn a decisive 7-1 AMCC victory.

The Hawks (6–7–2, 2–4–1 AMCC) exploded for six goals in the opening 18 minutes, to take a commanding lead over the Panthers (1–10–1, 0–6–1 AMCC) and set the tone early.

Ja'Lynn Sanders led the charge with a hat trick and an assist, scoring twice in the first half and adding another goal just after halftime. Vanessa Van Slyke netted two goals of her own, while Evin Stauffer contributed a goal and a pair of assists. Michaela Olson found the back of the net and Mikaylah Nissan and Acadia Evans also tallied assists as part of Hilbert's balanced offensive attack.

The Hawks wasted no time getting on the board — Sanders opened the scoring just 1:43 into play, assisted by Nissan. Goals from Olson, Stauffer, and Van Slyke quickly followed as Hilbert built a commanding 4–0 lead before the six-minute mark. Van Slyke's second and Sanders' second rounded out the dominant first half.

Sanders completed her hat trick in the 47th minute, extending Hilbert's lead to 7–0 before Pitt-Bradford managed a late goal from Riley Stowe in the 60th minute to wrap up the scoring.

Hilbert goalkeeper Keira McFarland anchored the defense with six saves, while the Hawks outshot the Panthers 17–14 and maintained control throughout the match.
