BUFFALO, N.Y. – Denisa Kaunerova raced at the Canisius Alumni 5K race at Delaware Park this afternoon.

Competing in only her second collegiate race state-side, the international student from the Czech Republic set a personal record break the 30-minute mark.  She clipped the finish line in 29:36.9.

Division I SUNY Binghamton's Anna Gansrow sprinted ahead of her teammate, Sydney Leitner as the top two finishers in 17:36.3 and 17:59.9.  Detroit Mercy's Nina Pizzo (17:59.9) was the only other runner to break the 8-minute mark.
