BUFFALO, N.Y.  – Hilbert College Women's Cross Country recorded an 8th place finish at the Canisius Alumni 5K race held at Delaware Park this morning.

Madeleine Cook led the Hawks with 43 points after clipping the finish line in 24:53.9.

Canisius squeaked by Saint Francis University, 39-40, to take their own title while Buffalo trailed by 15 points (55).  Hilbert and Buffalo State University were the only two non-scholarship institutions competing
 
Canisius Alumna Libby Benzer (17:22.9) outdistanced two Golden Griffin teammates and a Saint Francis runner as the only four to finish in under 18 minutes.
