HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Hilbert built a ten-point lead after converting on nine of their first 14 trips down the floor.  Briggs finished an And-1 play and Ellis drilled a 3-pointer four-and-a-half minutes into the contest. The Hawks continued to finish plays with Nathan Moore hitting from deep and Briggs scoring in the paint that set the 19-9 score at 12:01.
  • Greensburg went on a 11-2 run and took their first lead, 22-21, with 8 minutes on the clock.
  • Justin Poumpey's 3-point make knotted the game at 31-all three minutes later but the Hawks went cold from the floor and headed to the locker room down 42-37.
  • Briggs (5) and Ellis (2) got the Hawks right back in the game after tying the score 44-44 at 18:10.
  • Greensburg found their shooting touch and went on solid run, outscoring the Hawks 29-13 over the course of the next 10 minutes.
  • The Bobcats scored most of their points in the paint, but they were successful from beyond the arc as well and that allowed them to build their largest lead (17) late in the game.
  • Hilbert sliced the margin to 13 points by the final horn after Poumpey and Hartley went 4-for-4 at the foul line and Hartley finished in the lane with seconds left in the game.

  • Hilbert won the battle of the boards (32-30) and grabbed 12 offensive rebounds which led to 14 2nd chance points.
  • Greensburg recorded 22 points off Hilbert's 15 turnovers and were credited with 27 fast break points.
  • The Hawks finished the game hitting 44.4% from the floor, went 6-of-8 from 3pt land and were almost perfect at the foul line, sinking 14-of-15.
