HAMBURG, NY – Hilbert Women's Soccer hosted SUNY Brockport this afternoon for the team's final home non-conference contest of the season. Despite a 20-save effort from sophomore goalkeeper, Keira McFarland, the Hawks fell 3-0 to the Golden Eagles.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

McFarland was tested early on in the game, making her first stop of the contest 1:31 after the ball was kicked off. However, two of the next four Brockport shots found the back of the net as Jaylah Cossin scored a pair to put the visitors up 2-0 just under 14 minutes into the contest. With the play in the Hawks' end for much of the remainder of the half, McFarland recorded seven more stops before the whistle blew for halftime.

After Gabrielle Calandra's shot opened the second half, the next nine shots of the game, all stopped by McFarland, came from Golden Eagles. Evin Stauffer's attempt on goal in the 85^th minute ended the run of Brockport shots. One more tally in the 89^th minute for the Golden Eagles wrapped up the scoring to give Brockport a 3-0 non-conference victory.

• McFarland made 20 stops in a game for the second time in her career (made 22 saves last year at Brockport).
• Vanessa Van Slyke, Evin Stauffer, and Gabrielle Calandra each fired shots on net.
