Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | Andrew Loveless

Women's Soccer Falls to Bryant & Stratton

HAMBURG, NY – Hilbert Women's Soccer hosted Bryant & Stratton this afternoon in a non-conference matchup. A pair of goals in each half for the Bobcats led to a comfortable 4-0 victory for the visitors.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Hilbert goalkeeper Hailey Kuder was called upon early, making two stops in the first five minutes of the contest. However, the next Bryant & Stratton shot found the back of the net as Masego Nfandiso's effort gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead just over 15 minutes in. After one more save from Kuder, an own goal by the Hawks made it a 2-0 lead, which is how the game would remain heading into the halftime break.

Nfandiso added a second goal less than two minutes before play resumed in the second half, before completing the hat trick twelve minutes later to make it a 4-0 game. Despite a pair of shots from both Chloe Champagne and Novalee Schlenker in the half, the Hawks were unable to find the back of the net as the Bobcats took this one 4-0.

GAME NOTES
  • Hailey Kuder made nine stops in just under 78 minutes of action in net.
  • Champagne and Schlenker's two shots each were the only Hilbert shots of the game.
