PITTSFORD, NY – Hilbert College Women's Basketball competed in day one of the St. John Fisher Woodcliff Hotel & Spa Tournament this afternoon with a matchup against Wittenberg University. The Tigers shot 50% from the field and 35% from three to take this one 88-26.
Wittenberg grabbed the game's first 13 points to create a 22-8 advantage after the first quarter, before connecting on five three pointers in the second quarter to make it a 47-13 game at the break.
Kelsey Schlagenhauf paced the Hilbert offense with six first-half points while
Chloe Champagne made the team's lone three of the first half.
LaDasia Leak added four points from the line for the Hawks in the opening twenty minutes.
Wittenberg used a 15-0 run early in the third quarter to stretch the lead to 71-20 after three quarters of play.
Jessee Jonathan hit a three for her first career points in the quarter, while Schlagenhauf added two more points to her team-high eight in the contest.
A 17-6 fourth quarter in favor of the Tigers wrapped up the 88-26 victory on the first day of the tournament.
