BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Hilbert College Hawks ice hockey team traveled downtown to face off against the Buffalo State Bengals for the third and final time in their inaugural season. Buffalo State previously won 12-1 and 7-0. 

How It Happened: The Hawks played poorly in the first period surrendering seven goals before picking up the intensity and only giving up three additional tallies over the final 40 minutes of play. Special teams play was a big issue that needs to be addressed before the final weekend as the Hawks took five penalties and the Bengals capitalized on three of them. Cassie Troy made 17 saves on 24 shot attempts. Jewely Monford saved 24 of the 27 shots she faced. Abby MacNeil was named player of the game for her relentless work ethic. The Bengals take this one 10-0. 

What's Next: The Hawks travel to Pennsylvania next weekend for their final two games of the season against King's College. The matchup has two winless teams fighting to end their seasons on a positive note.
