NASHUA, N.H. – The Hilbert College Hawks ice hockey team faced off against the Rivier Raiders for the second time in two days on the road.
How it Happened: A strong first period saw the Raiders take a 2-0 lead into the intermission before fatigue took over in the later periods. The Hawks generated 3 shots on 4 powerplay opportunities, but were still unable to score their first powerplay goal of the season. Rivier went 1/3 on their chances.
Cassie Troy play tall in net stopping 46 of the 54 shots she faced.
Cadence Pounds totaled 4 shots on net, while
Jacqueline Alaburda and
Kayla Myers each had 3. Rivier went on to win 8-0 in the rematch from Friday night.
What's Next: The Hawks travel to Trine University in Indiana to play a weekend series against the Thunder. Friday night's game is a Pink in the Rink event!
