GREENSBURG, Pa. - Patrick Whelan smacked an RBI double this afternoon as the Hawks dropped a pair to Pitt-Greensburg, making him the new single-season program record holder with 31 runs batted in for the season.

Game One:
* Michael Contini got the nod in game one, marking his ninth start on the season.
* Both Contini and Pitt-Greensburg starter Michael Sullivan blanked the offenses through one and a half innings.
* In the second, the Bobcat offense caught fire scoring four runs off four hits and a walk to take an early 4-0 lead.
* Pitt-Greensburg continued to pour it on, chasing Contini from the game after 2.2 innings.
* The Hawks couldn't find an answer out of the pen as the Bobcats scored 15 runs over the third through fifth, allowing their starter to cruise to a complete game win.
* Michael Contini (4-4) took the loss on the mound after allowing four earned runs over 2.2 innings pitched.
* Four Hawks recorded hits including Santino Turello who recorded a double.
Game Two:
* The Bobcat offense stayed hot in game two, plating four runs in the first off Hawks starter Blaine Morgan.
* Hilbert couldn't get the sticks going in game two, as they were blanked over the first five frames.
* Pitt-Greensburg chased Morgan after 2.2 innings, bringing reliever Brendan Walsh to the mound. Walsh kept the Hawks within striking distance. The right-hander went 3.1 innings allowing just one run.
* Hilbert scratched two across in the sixth off the record-setting RBI double from Patrick Whelan followed by a sac fly from Benjamin Ratajczak to plate Thomas Evans making it 6-2.
* The Bobcats tacked on two more off reliever William Hudson to take a commanding lead heading into the ninth.
* The Hawks wouldn't go down quietly. Misael Guzman Caez sent a solo blast to right to close out the scoring at 9-3.
* Patrick Whelan went 2 for 4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI to lead the offense. Guzman Caez added his second home run of the season and John Riviere Vejas had a pair of walks and stolen bases.
