BRADFORD, Pa. – Hilbert College dominated the glass tonight and rebounded back into the win column after earning a 51-33 victory at Pitt.-Bradford in women's basketball.
The Hawks picked the glass for 40 rebounds by intermission and finished the 60-minute contest launching two new program records.
This year's team established a new program single-game record in total rebounds (76) and offensive rebounds (31). They broke the previous rebounding totals dating back to November 19, 2013 when the Hawks beat Penn St.-DuBois, fueled by 30 offensive rebounds and in the January 11, 2012 contest against D'Youville after collecting 65 total rebounds.

HIGHLIGHTS
- Macy Kisner collected another double double after posting 18 points and 20 rebounds and besting the team with three assists. Ashley Schroeder tossed in 10 points and pulled in nine rebounds while Kendyl Kerner added 14 rebounds, matching Kisner with team-best eight offensive boards.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Hawks started slow in the opening minutes but finished with a bang at the buzzer. Bradford held a 5-2 lead before Hilbert got in a groove. Kisner, and Schroeder inched Hilbert within one, and Mackenzie Catan launched a 3-pointer which lifted Hilbert for good. Kisner scored of an up and under move before the buzzer signaled ending the first quarter with the Hawks up, 14-7.
- Catan hit a long 2-pointer just before Katie Kociszewski scored her first collegiate point off an offensive put-back in the second quarter to lift the Hawks to a ten-point spread at 8:32. Hilbert went on a six-point run but gave up a pair from the charity stripe before half time which set the 26-12 score.
- Both teams continued to struggle from the floor as it took two and a half minutes into the third session before Schroeder hit one of two at the foul line. Alesia Hamm secured another O-board after a missed Hilbert free throw just 20-seconds later and gave the Hawks an 18-point edge.
- Six different Hawks chipped in on the score board in the fourth quarter led by McKenzie Walker's four points.
GAME NOTES
- Both teams struggled from the floor and had a tough time holding onto the ball on the offensive end, but Hilbert continued to hustle for rebounds.
- The Hawks (27.7%) committed 27 turnovers while the Panthers (16.4%) turned the ball over 16 times.
- Hilbert manufactured 24 second-chance points off of their 31 offensive rebounds and limited Bradford to only 10 second-chance points.
- Kociszewski picked up five rebounds and Alesia Hamm grabbed five offensive and nine total in the win.
WHAT'S NEXT
Hilbert, after tonight's win, and Medaille, who earned a road win at Alfred State this evening, moved into a three-way tie with Penn State Altoona, who had a bye, with a 6-19 league record. These three teams are sitting in a log-jam in 5th place. The top six teams move into the post-season tournament which begins Tuesday, February 22nd.
Hilbert closes the regular season this Saturday when they host No. 8 Mount Aloysius (4-11) in a 1pm tip in the Hafner. Medaille travels to No. 1 La Roche University, who forced a two-way tie with Penn State Behrend after their victory against the Lions tonight, and Penn State Altoona finishes at No. 1 Penn State Behrend this weekend.
