West Seneca, N.Y. - The Hilbert College Hawks women's ice hockey team competed against the Arcadia University Knights for the second day in a row at home at Leisure Rinks.
How It Happened: The Hawks held tight through the first period only allowing 1 goal on 12 shots. The goaltender,
Cassie Troy, played a large part in keeping the game close making some difficult saves early on. The second period saw the Hawks special teams struggle as they went 0/3 on the powerplay, surrender a shorthanded goal, and a powerplay goal. The third period improved; however, the team continue to struggle on special teams and that was the major difference maker from the previous night where they played outstanding against the same opponent. Final Score, 9-0 Arcadia.Â
Up Next: The Trine University Thunder come to Western NY next weekend for a 2-game series against the Hawks. Saturday's contest is at 6:00PM!
