West Seneca, N.Y. - The Hilbert College Hawks hockey program welcomed in the Trine University Thunder for game one in the first of two weekend matchups between the opposition.
How It Happened: The Thunder jumped out to an early lead scoring just 41 seconds into the game. They added two more over the remainder of the period and skated off with a 3-0 lead after the first period. The Thunder added 4 goals halfway into the second period before a goaltending switch for the Hawks occurred. Trine added six more goals and the final score was 13-0. Both

Jewely Monford played in net for the Hawks and did the best they could given the situation at hand.

Tia Card played the game as a forward and skated away with player of the game honors.
What's Next: The second game of the weekend series with Trine is tomorrow, Sunday, December 11th with an 11:45AM puck drop at Leisure Rinks in West Seneca. This will be the last game of the first ever semester of the Hawks ice hockey program.
