HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Ashley Schroeder lifted Hilbert to an 8-0 lead before Macy Kisner kissed a 3-pointer in for the 11-0 lead by the Hawks.  The Terriers notched their first field goal after five minutes of action.  Alesia Hamm hit one more shot before the end of the first quarter giving Hilbert a 13-11 lead.
  • The Hawks added five straight points building an 18-11 margin and withstood a mini Hiram run when they cut the difference to two points (18-16).  Kisner and Monika Allen went 3-for-4 from foul line to help Hilbert to 27-20 half time lead.
  • Foul trouble forced the Hawks to shift their offensive attack in the third quarter and Hiram pulled ahead for the first time 38-37 at 1:56.  They then stretched their lead by three more after knocking down back-to-back 3-pointers with a minute-sixteen left in the quarter.
  • Trailing 41-37 at the start of the final session, Hilbert pulled within three points, but the Terriers ripped another shot from downtown going back up by six at 7:49 and extended the margin to ten points with five minutes left in the game.
GAME NOTES
  • Hilbert finished the game sinking 24.6-percent of their field goal attempts, and 53.7-percent at the foul line while the hosts shot 30.4 percent from the floor but made four 3-pointers to Hilbert's two, and converted 66.7-percent from the foul line.
