Fusco Named AMCC All-Conference After Men's & Women's Post-Season Honors Announced

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference announced the Men's and Women's Cross Country All-Conference Teams this morning and Hilbert College's Maddie Fusco was officially recognized with her first league honor.

Maddie Fusco (Hamburg, NY/Hamburg) joined the Hilbert cross country team this fall and immediately made a name for herself as a first-year runner.  She earned the individual title at the Daniel Walker Invite, earned a second-place finish at the 14th annual Meghan Memorial race and took home All-Conference Honors as the fourth runner to clip the finish line at the AMCC Championship Meet with a 26:15.5 6K time.

Penn State Behrend dominated the Individual honors for both the men's and women's programs.

Head coach Greg Cooper earned his 11th Coach of the Year honor after leading the men's team to the program's 14th championship and he was selected as the Coach of the Year, for the ninth time, on the women's side after guiding the Lions to the program's 12th team championship.

Penn State Behernd's Savanna Carr earned her fourth consecutive AMCC Women's Runner of the Year award after sweeping the 6K championship title each fall.  Her freshman teammate Lindsey Hartle, who was the highest-placing newcomer on the day, was named the AMCC Newcomer of the Year.  Penn State Behrend sophomore Kody Klein was named the Men's Runner of the Year and Pitt-Greensburg's Casey Montrey was tabbed as the Newcomer of the Year.
