BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Hilbert College Hawks hockey team travelled into the city of Buffalo to faceoff against the SUNY Buffalo State Bengals.
What Happened – The Hawks fought hard in the first period only conceding one goal just about halfway through the period. The Bengals offense peppered netminder
Tia Card the remainder of the period, but she stood up to the challenge. In the second period, penalty trouble and special teams play saw the Bengals expand the lead to 6-0.
The third period saw the Bengals continue to outwork the Hawks; however,
Abby MacNeil scored her second goal of the season to snap the shutout.
Caitlin Conrad was credited with the assist which marks her first NCAA point after moving to Hamburg from Sweden.
Taylor Loretto was named player of the game by the coaching staff for her effort throughout the entirety of her play on the day. The final score was 12-1.
What's Next – The Hawks host their inaugural home game as they host Arcadia University on Saturday, December 3
