Box Score PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The Hilbert College women's volleyball team played their fifth match in eight days tonight when they traveled to Nazareth College for a non-conference match.  The Hawks were knocked down by the Golden Flyers in straight sets.

THE BASICS

HOW IT HAPPENED

• The Hawks earned six points at the net, either off kills or block assists creating a 12-16 score halfway through the first set. Nazareth tallied six earned points to close the game with a 25-14 win.
• Cassandra Thompson earned three kills in the second set and Abigail Elisofon and Katie Kociszewski combined for another block assist as the Hawks slipped in another 25-14 defeat.
• The Hawks trailed 6-2 in the final set before momentum shifted in their favor.  They inched back from a 10-6 deficit and went on a 6-point run to build a 12-10 lead. Ashley Page's kill knotted the game at 10-all.  Kayleigh Chudoba served up back-to-back aces lifting Hilbert to a 2-point lead.
• Nazareth responded with three points and titled the lead back in their favor.  Thompson was credited with another kill forcing a 13-13 score.
• Hilbert was in the game and forced Nazareth to play a little tight as the match continued.  The Golden Flyers gave the Hawks seven of their eight final points.  Maria Spinelli's kill brought the Hawks within one point (21-22) but Nazareth finished the game with a pair of service aces for the win.

GAME NOTES

• Casandra Thompson earned team highs in kills (6) and digs (9).  Maria Spinelli added three kills, one solo block and two block assists joining Jessica Cruz-Jackson at the net who chipped in with two block assists and seven digs.  Kayleigh Chudoba earned two service aces.
• Abigail Elisofon (6) and Ashley Page (4) shared duties setting up teammates at the net for kills.
