Box Score AURORA, N.Y. – The Hilbert College men's soccer team had a tough time against Wells College as eight different players recorded at least one point for the Express who posted a 5-1 victory over the Hawks September 23. Hilbert (2-5-1) dropped their last non-conference match before they open their AMCC league portion of their schedule.
Wells (5-2) unleased three times as many shots with twelve different players getting a looks.
Brandon Henry was credited with five saves for Hilbert.
The Hawks got offensive contribution from
Matt Hamister, who led the royal and white with four shots.
Matthew Buehlmann followed with two shots and
Tyler Eister and
Tomas Bojkovski chipped one each.
Wells took a 2-0 lead to half time and added one more right after the break. The Express tacked their fourth goal on at 60:58 before Hamister got the Hawks on the score board less than three minutes later. With less than eight minutes to go, one last ball snuck past Henry for the final score.
Hilbert returns home September 27 when they host La Roche College.
