Chantelle Mikolajczak notched her first two goals of the season, but the Hilbert College women's lacrosse team came up empty in their trip to SUNYIT today. The Hawks suffered a 19-4 loss to the Wildcats (1-0) and still search for their first win in three attempts this spring.
SUNYIT's freshman Krysta Beha tallied eight goals in her collegiate debut notching five by intermission.

Nikki Schneider's free position shot gave Hilbert their first score at 21:48 and only fifteen seconds later,
Megan Smith cut into the deficit. Then at 19:16,

The Wildcats responded with two more scores over a 48-second span before Mikolajczak's free position score gave the Hawks their fourth goal (16:18). Hilbert was held scoreless the rest of the half and the entire second 30-minute period. SUNYIT was able to put together an 11-goal first half and followed with an 8-goal second half effort.
SUNYIT held a slight advantage in ground balls (17-12) and caused turnovers (7-5) but dominated in shots (34-12) and shots on goal (24-9).
Meghan Stewart went the full sixty minutes in goal again, making five saves.
The women's lacrosse team will regroup and prepare for their first game back in the Western New York area tomorrow. They host Wells College at Nichols High School at 2pm March 23.
