MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Hilbert College softball team captured their first game in their final attempt during their spring break training at Fastpitch Dreams Classic in North Myrtle Beach.

Jaelyn Gotham grabbed the win in the circle fanning four strikeouts with only one walk.  Rachel Collier's double in the 6th inning sent Eliza Stringham home for her second run of the game.

Besides Collier, Kateland Ball, Stringham, and Natalie Whitman earned hits off the Wildcats pitcher who finished with four 'K" and one walk.

Cazenovia posted their only run in the top of the 1st inning.  Gotham's pitching and Hilbert's defense shut the visiting team down the rest of the game.

Whitman's single RBI knotted the game at 1-1 in the 4th inning before Collier took the win.

Hilbert returns to action after they travel back to Western New York.
