Maddie Fusco, in only her second collegiate cross country season, shattered the previous Hilbert College Women’s Cross Country 5K time while competing in the Canisius Alumni Invite at Delaware Park October 13th.

The Hamburg product who is using her final season of athletic eligibility as a graduate student, clocked in at 19:08.3, 15-seconds faster than the previous 5K record (19:27) which was set in 2015.

Fusco hung with the pack of Division I and II competitors to finish in 21st place overall and was just the second Division III top runner, trailing the other by 0:00.5 seconds.
