The athletics department would like to honor the captains of each of the fall sports programs by designating them as Hawks of the Week. These team captains provided leadership on and off the field of competition this semester, keeping their teammates mentally and physically involved in skill improvement and cultural connection.
Men's soccer head coachÂ
Jeff Hallenbeck announced a pair of junior defenders,Â
Stephen Wetherell andÂ
Sebastian Flewellyn, as this year's captains. They earned the leadership role based on their positive attitudes, commitment to and involvement within the program. Flewellyn and Wetherell have served as role models, been vocal leaders on an off the field, have taken charge of group activities, and have held their teammates accountable.
Sebastian Flewellyn (Buffalo, N.Y./City Honors) is a two-year starter on defense for the Hawks. He has taken 15 shots in 29 starts and was credited with an assist on September 9, 2018 against Wells College. Flewellyn is a two-time Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Academic All-Conference member and twice earned a Peak Performer honor having reached beyond the 3.5 gpa. He was given the 2018 men's soccer Coaches Award at the conclusion of his freshman campaign.
