Aaryonah Vaughn’s efforts on the turf helped her earn her first career Hawk of the Week honor.

The sophomore attack from West Seneca East gave the Hilbert women’s lacrosse team a fighting chance over the weekend, leading the Hawks in scoring. Vaughn totaled six goals spaced over two games and won three draw controls.

Vaughn went on a run at Penn State Abington, scoring three consecutive goals which put Hilbert in a two-goal differential on the road. She collected five goals and helped through the midfield making many successful clears in the 16-10 loss.

She carries a .733 shot on goal percentage and leads the Hawks (0-8) with 18 season goals.
