Emily Gawlak’s outstanding offensive efforts over the weekend helped her earn her third Hawk of the Week honor this year.
Besides pushing the women’s basketball team to their second consecutive AMCC Championship, Gawlak picked up an All-Tournament honor at the conclusion of the two-day Final Four weekend.
Gawlak averaged 24.5 points and led the Hawks with an impressive 53.1 percent shooting from the field, tossing in 43.8 percent of her shots from downtown. She scored 49 points, grabbed 14 rebounds, swiped five steals and dished eight assists.
The Hawks posted a 20-point win over Pitt-Bradford as Gawlak dropped 29 points (10-of-16) in 39 minutes.
She closed the very long Sunday with 18-second half points. After the 12:00 pm game concluded at 5:45pm, Gawlak was tagged with 40 minutes of effort, 20 total points, and eight rebounds in the season sweep of Penn State Behrend.
