Patrick Whelan (Buffalo, N.Y./Bishop Timon-St. Jude | Medaille) was outstanding last week reaching base safely in 10 of 17 appearances. 

The 6-3 1B had seven hits, including two doubles which knocked in five RBI.  Whelan also scored five runs and finished the week with a .500 batting average, .588 on base percentage and 1.231 OPS while posting a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage off 18 chances. 

His most productive game was in the nightcap against Pitt-Greensburg where he hit both doubles (3-6 at the plate), scored one run and finished with four RBIs.
