Allison Maynard makes her collegiate coaching debut as Don Herlan’s assist at Hilbert this 2018 season. As a player, Maynard trained under a series of coaches with international experience and she hopes to draw upon this background at Hilbert.
Maynard is a former D-1 goalkeeper from Canisius College (2013 & 2014) and was named to the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team in 2014. The Ohio native played goalkeeper, winger, and forward prior to her time as a Golden Griffin when she competed in the Midwest Regional League and Ohio State Buckeye League for Blast FC and Ohio Premiere.
Maynard has coached competitive youth soccer for the past four years with Delaware Soccer Club (DSC) and plans to also join the Empire Soccer Academy this fall. Maynard has been a DSC head coach for a competitive girls travel team since 2016 and continues to work as a club trainer with all age groups. Additionally, Maynard specializes in goalkeeper training at camps and clinics outside her time with DSC.
Allison is a graduate student at Brock University working on a masters in child and youth studies. She graduated with honors from Canisius College with a pair of bachelors degrees, a BS in Animal Behavior, Ecology, and Conservation and a BA in Digital Media Arts. She plans to work toward her PhD and continue coaching soccer.
