Mick Fallis

Mick Fallis is in his fifth season as an assistant coach with the Hilbert College men’s basketball program, and brings a variety of experience to head coach Rob deGrandpre’s bench. Fallis assists with all facets of the program including recruiting, scouting, film breakdown, and practice and game-day coaching.

Fallis joined the Hawks after spending 2007-2009 at Newton-Conover City School in North Carolina where he coached the boys modified program, while also serving as the varsity program’s assistant coach.

No stranger to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC), Fallis spent seven years on the sidelines at conference foe D’Youville College, including a two year stint as the Spartans head coach.

Before moving to Buffalo in 1999, Fallis held high school coaching positions at Berwick High School (LA), Kingsway Christian School (IN), and at Harrison High School in his hometown of Lafayette, Indiana. He has a multitude of summer camp experience with stops at Purdue University, UCLA, Canisius College, and Medaille College. More recently he served as an assistant coach with the open men’s basketball team from the Western New York Region at the 2010 Empire State Games.

Fallis holds a master’s degree in sport administration from Canisius College and has a pair of undergraduate degrees in movement and sports science, as well as physical education from Purdue University. As an undergrad, he worked as a student-manager for longtime Boilermakers head coach Gene Keady.
