Chris Hoak returns for his second season after joining the Hilbert College men’s basketball staff in September of 2015. He assists with all components of the Hawks program including recruiting, and player development.
Hoak spent the 2014-15 season as a member of the boys varsity basketball staff at nearby Hamburg High School.
He has a variety of experience working summer basketball camps and clinics including those at Hilbert College, Nazareth College, St. Francis High School, and with the Village of Hamburg.
After starting his collegiate career at Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, Hoak returned home to the greater Buffalo area and stared for the Hawks from 2009 – 20012. As a member of the 2010-11 team that advanced to the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) Tournament semifinals, Hoak ranked fifth in the conference in three-pointers made (52), and 10th in three-point field goal percentage (.354). As a senior, he led the royal and white to a 15-12 overall campaign and a follow-up appearance in the AMCC semifinals. His 44 made trifectas ranked 9th in the conference while shooting .367 from beyond the arc to rank 10th.
Hoak still ranks 11th amongst Hilbert’s all-time leaders in three-point field goal percentage (.359). His 104 career made three-pointers ranks 12th where his also sits for three-point field goal attempts (290).
A local product who graduated from St. Francis High School, Hoak earned a B.S. degree in business administration from Hilbert in 2013.
