Daniel Christmann joins the Hilbert baseball coaching staff as an assistant coach working primarily with the defense in 2016 after a successful college career with the Hawks.
In 2015, Christmann led the Hawks in hits, batting average, RBIs, and struck out the fewest times at the plate. He was recognized twice as a “Hawk of the Week” during the spring season. His .400 batting average on the season was good enough for fourth in the AMCC and earned him a Second-Team All-Conference award as well as an AMCC All-Sportsmanship Team award.  Christmann walked away last spring fourth in career batting average and fourth in most double plays turned in Hilbert history.
This isn’t his first time in the coaching ranks however. Christmann is currently the founder and manager of the 16U WNY Warriors debuting in their inaugural season this summer. He also is the manager of West Seneca Post #735 after being an assistant coach last year in their New York State title run and regional appearance in American Legion Baseball. Before Post 735 he had also spent three years as a volunteer assistant baseball coach at Williamsville South High School.
Christmann graduated from Hilbert College in December 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in sport management.
