DELHI, N.Y. – Hilbert College Women's Soccer traveled for a non-conference matchup with SUNY Delhi this afternoon. The Hawks battled defensively throughout the afternoon, but a first-half goal from the Broncos proved to be the difference in a 1-0 loss on Neil Riddell Field.
The Broncos scored the match's lone goal in the 25th minute and carried the 1-0 advantage into halftime. Hilbert's defense kept the game within reach throughout, despite facing 11 shots and five corner kicks.

Keira McFarland turned aside five shots in the match, making two saves in the opening half and three more after the break. She helped the Hawks keep the deficit at one goal throughout the second half.
Hilbert's best chance came midway through the second half when
Acadia Evans recorded the team's lone shot attempt following a corner kick opportunity. The Hawks earned both of their corner kicks in the second half while continuing to push for an equalizer.
Defensively, the Hawks limited SUNY Delhi to three shots on goal in the second half and held the Broncos scoreless over the final 65 minutes of play.
