HAMBURG, N.Y. - Hilbert College's Jeremy Ganska was named the Liberty League Football Rookie of the Week today.  

Freshman running back Jeremy Ganska (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Preparatory) had a big day on the ground for the Hawks on Saturday, rushing for 124 yards and a pair of scores on 35 carries. Ganska helped Hilbert control the ball for nearly 48 minutes against Alfred State while accounting for over half of the Hawks' total offense. After recording his first career touchdown a week ago, Ganska added two more on Saturday with ten- and nine-yard scores in the fourth quarter. The freshman running back added two catches for 19 yards and ripped off a career-long 29-yard rush.
