BUFFALO. N.Y. – Hilbert Women's Lacrosse fell 23–0 to Buffalo State Athletics in a nonconference matchup Wednesday afternoon in the rain at Coyer Field. The loss moves Hilbert to 0-2 on the season while the Bengals improved to 3-1.
Buffalo State established momentum early, scoring ten goals in the opening quarter to build a quick lead. The Bengals continued their offensive push in the second period, adding four goals to take a 14-0 advantage into halftime.
Hilbert continued to battle throughout the second half, but Buffalo State added four goals in the third quarter and five more in the fourth to secure the final margin.

Madison Matuszak and
Ellie Pembleton combined for all four Hilbert shots.
Olivia Cleary (0-2) was credited with five saves over the opening 40 minutes while
Summer Newman closed the game with another five saves in the final 20 minutes.
The Bengals were led offensively by Emilee Josker, who recorded six goals, while Kira Grzechowiak added five. Buffalo State had balanced scoring overall with 11 different players finding the back of the net.
The Hawks return to action Saturday, March 14 when they travel to Lycoming College for a 1:00 pm game in Williamsport, Pa.
