READING, Pa. – Hilbert College Women's Bowling secured the program's second consecutive appearance in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference postseason tournament after finishing the two-day AMCC Traditional Round Robin knocking down 4,804 total pins over six matches.
After going 1-2 yesterday, the Hawks went 1-2 on the final day but delivered a dominant 774-549 victory over Pitt- Greensburg. The 225-pin win marked Hilbert's largest margin of victory in a traditional match this season.
Hilbert continued to improve its pin totals throughout the weekend but fell short in matches against Alvernia University (959-874) and William Smith College (901-833), moving to 6-6 overall in AMCC action.
Individually,
Thea Nahrebeski led the Hawks on the day with a 200.0 average, while
Paige Angle followed closely with a 181.3 average across three matches.
Brooklyn Hannah paced Hilbert over the six-match tournament with a team-best 173.3 average, edging Angle by just a tenth of a pin (173.2).
The Hawks (6-6 AMCC record) will advance to the 2026 AMCC Double Elimination Mega Match Tournament, set to begin Friday, March 20. The three-day championship will take place at Pine Plaza Lanes in Pittsburgh, with official seedings to be announced.
Hilbert (24-37) returns to regular season action next weekend at the Niagara Brunswick Spring Classic, hosted at Rapids Bowling Center in Niagara Falls.
