HAMBURG, N.Y. - The Hilbert College Athletic Department is pleased to announce the Hilbert College Athletes of the Week for the week of September 28, 2026.
Hamso Dagane (Men's Soccer) and
Thea Nahrebeski (Women's Bowling) were each recognized for their athletic performances during their respective team's contests last week.
Hamso Dagane (Buffalo, NY/Buffalo Academy of Science) came up big for the Hawks in the team's AMCC opening match. With Hilbert trailing 2-0 in the second half, Dagane scored two goals in under three minutes to earn the Hawks a 2-2 draw against Penn State Altoona on the road. Dagane also added five shots (three on target) to his second and third goals of the year.
Thea Nahrebeski (Buffalo, NY/Orchard Park) led the Hawks at the season-opening Mercyhurst Invitational. On Saturday, Nahrebeski paced the Hawks throughout the day, knocking down a team-best 880 pins over five games for a 176 average. She recorded a team-high 234 against D'Youville and added games of 131, 138, 181, and 196. She followed that up with a 16.7 baker average on Sunday, good for second on the team.
