LANSING, MI – Hilbert Women's Bowling picked up a pair of victories at the DIII National Bowling Tournament hosted by the Lansing Sports Commission today. The Hawks recorded the program's 1st total pin fall victory over William Smith College over the last 10 matches and improved to 22-33 overall.
The Hawks rolled wins over Edgewood College (849-728) and William Smith College (892-887) while suffering losses to Marion (887-936) and Penn State Behrend (769-794).
Hilbert closed the tournament with a playoff positional loss to Carthage College in a best-of-7 baker match (0-4) finishing in 8th place.
Thea Nahrebeski joined Jenna Agnle and
Paige Angle with four scores in the morning tournament. Nahrebeski led with a 193.8 average, tossing a team-high 214 against Marion.
Jenna averaged a 176.8 and Pagie finished with a 171.0 average, a head of
Victoria Hanley's 170.7.
The Hawks return to action in two weeks when they host a dual match against Roberts Wesleyan University February 7th at Classic Lanes.
