General AMCC League Office

UPG AD YETTER NAMED NEXT AMCC COMMISSIONER

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - After a comprehensive search, the AMCC Presidents Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeromy Yetter as the new Commissioner of the AMCC, effective July 1, 2025.

Yetter is well familiar with the AMCC as he currently serves as the Director of Athletics and Recreational Sports at the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg, a position he has held since 2018.

"Jeromy brings a wealth of experience to this role, with a strong background in athletics administration and a deep understanding of the AMCC," said Dr. Ralph Ford, the Penn State Behrend Chancellor and chair of the AMCC Presidents Council.  "He has demonstrated exceptional leadership, overseeing all aspects of the athletic program and achieving significant success."

"I am very excited and grateful to the Presidents Council and Search Committee for this opportunity to serve as the next commissioner of the AMCC," said Yetter.  "The AMCC has always meant a lot to me and I look forward to working with each of our members to continue to build upon our successes."

Yetter's previous experience also includes coaching at the collegiate level, including a stint at UPG as the head coach of the men's basketball team and most recently as an assistant men's basketball coach at the United States Naval Academy.

"This diverse background gives him a unique perspective and the ability to connect with all stakeholders within our conference," stated Dr. Ford.  "The President's Council is confident that Jeromy's vision, dedication, and passion for the AMCC will guide us to continued success and growth. We look forward to welcoming him to the conference office."

Yetter will succeed Donna Ledwin as just the second commissioner in the AMCC's history.  Ledwin is stepping down after a 40 year career in intercollegiate athletics at both the campus and conference level, primarily in Division III.  She has served the conference since 2002.

"I have full confidence in Jeromy to take the AMCC to the next level of accomplishment at a very challenging time in higher education and intercollegiate athletics," said Ledwin.  "He is a big picture thinker and he is committed to the Division III philosophy.  That is a sure formula for success."
