HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert Women's Lacrosse hosted Fredonia State under the lights at Frontier High School and the Blue Devils left Hamburg with a 20-0 victory.
Fredonia dominated the time of possession and limited the Hawks offensive attack as they dropped the Hawks to 1-5 while improving to 6-5.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Olivia Cleary found herself in the hotseat all game and finished with 15 saves and a team-high six ground balls.
- McKenzie Walker and Samantha Accurso were tough on defense as they attempted to steer the attack out wide of the goalie crease. Accurso led with three caused turnovers while Walked added two caused turnovers and led the field players with four ground balls.
- Jessee Jonathan recorded three draw controls and two caused turnovers.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Fredonia State built a 9-0 lead after 15 minutes then slowed their pace in the final three quarters, finishing with a shutout victory.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Three different Hilbert players attempted one shot on goal (Jonathan, Gabby Calandra and Accurso) and the Hawks were credited with 11 caused turnovers.
- Fredonia dominated the game statistically, but Cleary shut down their free position shots by making four saves.

Hilbert will play in their second AMCC game this weekend when they host Mount Aloysius College back at Frontier High School at 3pm.
