COBLESKILL, N.Y. – Hilbert Men's Lacrosse traveled to central New York for a non-conference game at SUNY Cobleskill
After building a 3-goal lead in the opening quarter, the Hawks' fourth quarter rally fell short as they dropped an 8-6 loss on the cold and snowy day.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Jason Sage paced the Hawks with seven ground balls and three points, scoring both his goals in the final five minutes of the game.
- David Bolin led with three caused turnovers and Kristopher Newman won 9-of-17 faceoffs for the Hawks.
- Griffin Miller finished with 15 saves today.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Hilbert manufactured three goals over a 90-second span mid-way through the first quarter. Bryan Jastrzab, Ethan Barlow and Aidan Franko (UP) connected from 6:08 to 4:40 on the game clock.
- The Fighting Tigers then packed together seven consecutive goals, starting with two at the end of the first quarter. They tacked one on in the second session and sent the teams to the sidelines knotted at 3-all.
- Cobleskill put two more points on the board in the third quarter and recorded two more at the start of the fourth before Jason Sage broke the draught with 4:43 left in the game. He found his second mark at 2:00, just after Cobleskill padded their lead back to four goals.
- Ty Franko finished the day's scoring with 60-seconds left in the game which set the 8-6 final.

Hilbert, 3-6, returns to Hamburg this weekend for another non-conference contest, this time against Elmira College on Saturday, April 19th at St. Francis High School.
