HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College Women's Lacrosse lost to the undefeated La Roche Redhawks this afternoon in a late-afternoon contest at Frontier High School
The Hawks were consistent from start to finish, but La Roche's speed and agility were too much for Hilbert to handle.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Sam Accurso recorded two points off one goal and an assist while leading the field players with four ground balls.
- Skyler Holzman paced the defensive core with five caused turnovers and Madeleine Cook added three caused turnovers as well as three ground balls.
- Jessee Jonathan led the Hawks with five shots, two off free position attempts and won two ground balls while scooping three ground balls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- La Roche built a five-goal edge before Olivia Horn put the Hawks on the board taking a pass from Accurso to the frame.
- The Redhawks stacked seven goals together over the course of the next 16 minutes.
- Accurso scored a man-up goal off a feed from Madison Matuszak and Jonathan netted a second goal in a row for the Hawks seven minutes later.
- La Roche finished the day with five additional hits for their fourth consecutive AMCC victory.
BY THE NUMBERS
- Olivia Clearly was credited with 11 saves.
- The Hawks forced La Roche into 30 turnovers and finished with 25 ground balls, matching La Roche's stat line.

With just two games remaining on their regular season schedule, Hilbert hits the road next weekend to face Mount Aloysius on April 19 (11 am) in Cresson, Pa. They will host their Senior Day celebration on Thursday, April 24
th (7pm) against Alfred State College.
