HAMBURG, N.Y.  – Hilbert College Men's Lacrosse recorded their first shutout victory since the 2023 season after they earned a 16-0 win at La Roche University.
 
The Hawks pulled away by intermission but added six goals in the third quarter to seal the deal and extended their record to 16-2 against the Redhawks.

HIGHLIGHTS

• Joey DiMaria drove the offense, finishing with seven goals and an assist, six in the first half.
• Kristopher Newman added four markers, and Jason Sage was the other multi-scorer on the day.
• Jason Sage tossed three assists and Ethan Barlow and Ty Franko each added two.
• Jonathan Roustum (3) Marcus Ibrahim (2) and Aidan Franko (2) led in caused turnovers while Jason Sage, Mason Shehadi, and Joey DiMaria all recorded five ground balls.
• Newman outworked the Redhawks in the face off X winning 10-of-12 as Mike Moreland won 3-of-4.
• Griffin Miller collected eight saves, three in the first and fourth quarters.

    HOW IT HAPPENED

• DiMaria put three points on the board over a four-minute span before Newman and Franko set the 5-0 score by the start of second quarter.
• DiMaria did all the scoring damage in the second quarter which lifted the Hawks by eight goals at half time.
• Newman netted three times in the third and he had help by Franko, Sage and DiMaria.
• Roustum and Sage finished the scoring late in the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTES

The Hawks dominated the ground game building a 41-25 margin in ground balls, doubled the Redhawks in shots and tripled them in shots on goal while winning 14 of 20 faceoffs.
