HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College Women's Lacrosse opened the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference schedule with their first taste of league action today.
The Hawks kept it a close game through the opening quarter, but nine unanswered hits by La Roche University put the game away by half time, as the Hawks lost 21-6 to the Redhawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- La Roche scored the opening goal just nine seconds into the league game, but Jonathan responded with her first goal at 10:08.
- The Redhawks tacked two more on the score board before Gabby Calandra finished her attack towards the net with a free-position goal at 2:22 to set the 3-2 score.
- La Roche then went on a nine-goal march scoring multiple tallies within minutes, if not seconds of each other before Calandra took a Jonathan pass to the back of the net with 3:19 left before the Redhawks took a 10-goal lead off a man-up goal before the break.
- Jonathan scored an unassisted hit in the third and Jenna Yauger earned her first career point off a feed to Olivia Horn who finished the Hawks scoring with another feed from Matuszak in the fourth quarter.

Hilbert (1-4) returns to WNY for back-to-back games next week. The Hawks will host Fredonia State April 2nd (7 pm) and Mount Aloysius in a league game April 5th (3pm) with both games being played at Frontier High School.
