PITTSBURGH, PA – Hilbert College Women's Bowling finished the 2024-25 season with style and grace.
The No. 5 Hawks, after advancing into the Mega Match double elimination AMCC tournament Friday, knocked off a pair of league teams they struggled against in AMCC Round Robin matches, and were just one game away from playing for the 2025 championship.
Hilbert had a busy day today, rolling against No. 3 Pitt-Bradford and then advancing through the loser's basket to face the 2024 AMCC Champs, No. 2 William Smith.
By the end of the day, the 2024-25 Hilbert Women's Bowlers were the darlings of the tournament, receiving multiple complements for their effort, attitude and sportsmanship after they exited the Mega Match tournament with a lost to William Smith.

- Hilbert swept Pitt-Bradford in the traditional game and the Baker series in the morning games.
- The Hawks beat William Smith, the reigning 2024 AMCC Champions, in a traditional game, and then took them to a full best-of-seven Baker final before exiting the tournament
- The 911 team score rolled against William Smith set a new match record for the Hilbert Women's Bowling program.
- The 904 Baker score against Bradford set a new program record for Baker match scores.

- The Hawks battled Pitt-Bradford early this morning in the same format as yesterday.
- Hilbert earned a 904-792 team victory and were led by Paige Angle's 221. Paige Mullen (182) and Morgan Ebert (175) were impressive in their performances against the Panthers.
- The Hawks then recorded a 904-873 baker win, as Paige Angle came through with clutch shots to help the Hawks sweep Bradford and advance.

- Hilbert faced a seasoned William Smith team at the end of the day.
- The Hawks challenged the Herons right out of the gate, beating them in the team format by 29 pins. Hilbert set a new program record as well as a new postseason record after winning 911-882. Jenna Angle paced the Hawks with a 206, Paige Angle added a nice 198 score adn Paige Mullen rounded out the top three with a 188.
- William Smith then earned a 974-748 total pin fall baker win which forced the best-of-7 baker series.
- Willam Smith beat the Hawks by 30 pins in game one, the Hawks took the next two games (181-167, 191-180), lost the fourth game by five pins (168-163) and then won the sixth (222-215). William Smith evened the baker with a (181-161) win which forced the 7th game to determine who advances in the bracket. The Herons held on for a 200-157 victory and knocked the Hawks out of the tournament.
Hilbert concludes the 2024-25 season under first-year, co-head coaches
Andrew Rettig and
Sara Snyder with a 13-59 overall record, became the first women's bowlers at Hilbert to advance to the AMCC Championship Tournament with a 5-9 record as the 5th seed, and were one game away from the championship match.
