HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert Men's Lacrosse suffered a 15-1 non-conference defeat to Keuka College this afternoon at Saint Francis High School.
The Hawks struggled to complete clears and find ways to create offense as they slipped to 2-3 while the Wolves improved to 3-2.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Bryan Jastrzab gave the hosts their only point on the score board in the opening quarter. Ty Franko was credited with the assist.
- Jason Sage and Jastrzab paced the Hawks with four shots each, while as a team they finished with only 11 shots on goal.
- Griffin Miller was credited with 23 saves after facing 51 shots today.
- Jonathan Roustum led with four caused turnovers while adding five ground balls. Mason Shehadi covered the loose ball of Roustum's pressure and scooped up five on defense.
- Taivaughn Roach won 11-of-18 in the faceoff x and finished with a team-high six ground balls.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Keuka jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the game's first three and a half minutes. The Hawks responded thirty-seconds into the second quarter with a man-up goal.
- The Wolves then went on a 13-goal run for the win
BY THE NUMBERS
- Hilbert converted 17-of-26 clears, won 11 faceoffs (of 19), and limited Keuka to one goal in their five extra man opportunities.
