HAMBURG, N.Y. – Hilbert College Men's Volleyball got back on the winning track taking a 3-0 non-conference win at home against Houghton University.
The Hawks started slowly, but timing at the net and strong serving helped secure a pair of straight set victories over the Highlanders before they face each other in Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference action in March.
Houghton led 7-4 in the opening set, posting four points off their defensive blocks, before Hilbert began to connect for the win. The Hawks shut down the Highlanders in the second set and then served and blocked their way to the win.
