FREDONIA, N.Y. – Hilbert College Women's Volleyball capped off a strong road performance with an impressive 3–2 victory (22–25, 25–13, 25–19, 17–25, 15–10) over Fredonia State on Wednesday evening inside Dods Hall.
Earlier in September, the Hawks swept Fredonia for the first time in program history and tonight's win lifts the Hawks to 18–10 while the Blue Devils fall to 10–14 in the SUNYAC.
After dropping a tightly contested first set, Hilbert regrouped and stormed back with dominant play in the second frame - posting a .500 hitting percentage and cruising to a 25–13 win. The Hawks continued to roll in the third, using balanced offense and aggressive serving to take a 2–1 match lead.
Fredonia fought back in the fourth, capitalizing on Hilbert's attack errors to even the match, but the Hawks sealed the night in the decisive fifth set behind steady defense and timely kills.
Hilbert hit .182 in the final frame while holding Fredonia to just .063 to secure the 15–10 victory.
By the Numbers
Hilbert finished the night with 54 kills to Fredonia's 38, hitting .169 as a team while limiting the Blue Devils to .117. The Hawks also led in digs (81–63) and assists (52–36), showcasing their consistency in extended rallies.

The Hawks return to action on Saturday, November 8, when they travel to Pittsburgh to battle Carlow University in their final AMCC regular-season contest. First serve is set for 3:00 pm inside the St. Joseph Athletic & Fitness Center.
After other AMCC results were posted Wednesday night, the Hawks officially secured the 4th seed in the conference standings and will host an AMCC First Round matchup in the Hafner Recreation Center on Wednesday, November 12.
